Pierre Haywood - Varsity Interim Head Coach

Coach P is going into his fourth year of coaching. After 4 years playing at Troy, he played at Irvine Valley College for a year and a half. He began his coaching career with the club program, “Young/Jump Warriors Basketball”, building it as a growing feeder for Troy High School. Coach P also recently helped Ladera Vista Junior High School of Arts win the 2023 FSDSL Championship. He is attending Fullerton College studying Economics & hopes to transfer to CSUF next year. His goal for Troy is to create a winning culture through discipline, accountability, resilience, & community.

Jayson Gilliam - Junior Varsity Head Coach

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Jayson brings with him several years of coaching experience at the youth and AAU club levels. A graduate of Mt. Aloysius College (PA), Jayson was a two-sport athlete, playing basketball and baseball, but it is also where he developed a passion for mentoring the youth. In addition to skill development, Jayson has a fairly extensive background in strength and conditioning training. Placing a firm emphasis on fundamentals and hard work, he has an unwavering approach, passion, and commitment to the development of athletes both on and off the court, traits he credits his parents Eugene and Shirley Gilliam for instilling in him.

Kali Flores - Frosh Assistant Coach

Kimberly Jackson-Jones - Junior Varsity Assistant Coach

Coach Jones wears many hats in this basketball program. She has served for 4 years on the booster club and was a team parent while her son Jayden played for Troy for 4 years. Coach Jones now assists the JV team, bringing her love and expertise as a conditioning coach. Coach Jones holds a degree in Kinesiology from Cal Baptist University. In addition, she has worked for almost 20 years as a coach, athletic director, assistant trainer and physical education teacher. She has served on several boards for CYAA (Christian Youth Athletic Association), CHJAAF (Chino Hills Junior All American Football), Academic Advisory Board (OPA) and active member of (CAHPERD) California Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. Her passion is to encourage today’s youth to love physical activity.
Coach Jones is the proud mother of 3 amazing children. In her spare time, she is an advocate for the homeless in Fullerton. She also works for Troy on campus in the SPED Department as an Instructional Aid.
